Expression. Ya, ini adalah salah satu hal dalam bahasa yang saya nikmati. Ketika bisa memahami expression dari bahasa lain, saya merasa itu kebanggaan tersendiri. Karena kita pada akhirnya akan memakai lebih banyak expressions daripada bahasa formal. Kalau dibalik, kita pasti tetap merasa aneh mendengar orang luar berbicara bahasa Indonesia baku kepada kita. Dari sini saya begitu tergila-gila mengumpulkan dan mencoba mengerti expression dalam bahasa Inggris. Understanding formal way of speaking foreign languages gives you the basic things of conversation but getting to know the language expressions is to mingle with them in a deeper way, I reckon.
